  • I know Sedona’s challenges from having served on the City Council and from my extensive volunteer activities, and I have new approaches to getting things done.

  • I have strategies for reducing the number of cars on our roads during peak tourist times, to be financed by redirecting dollars that currently go to the Chamber of Commerce.

  • I will pursue creative and effective ways to encourage day-trip visitors to visit Sedona when we are not at capacity, because we cannot pave our way out of our traffic and parking dilemmas.

  • I will insist that Sedona take control of our streets by prohibiting visitor parking on residential streets near trailheads, and by encouraging day-trip visitors to spend multiple nights in Sedona so they can take advantage of proposed transit options to get to trailheads.

  • I will ensure that Council decisions enhance our goal of maintaining Sedona’s ‘Small Town Character’, as expressed in both the City’s Vision Statement and Community Plan.

  • I will critically review the proposed plans to implement traffic study recommendations, to ensure the projects deal cost-effectively with congestion during peak tourist periods without changing the small town character of Sedona.

  • Voters have a choice between approving Home Rule in August or a Permanent Base Adjustment in November. To avoid economic chaos, it is imperative that one of them is passed.

Thank you for your vote on August 28.
